Well it seems I'll be plagued by crappy public internet access for a while longer.  I'm now in Oz, sorry no coords quite yet, although you can probably find Sydney on a map pretty easily :>

Let me back track a little bit first to leaving from Toronto (as long as I can get this whole thing typed out before my time expires, as I'm out of AU $1 or $2 coins.)

The bus trip was more or less uneventful, although it's certainly an interesting way to meet strange people (and their kids).  Anyone who thinks that taking the bus will be fun, and to save a few dollars - don't.  You can get a flight for almost as cheap these days.  But if you're looking for a unique (read: painful yet intriguing) experience, by all means, I strongly suggest the bus.  You may want to try a shorter trip - something that doesn't require you to go through Ontario (that section of the trip was a little over 31 hours, although I believe we were delayed a couple of hours due to an accident that shut down the Trans-Canada for 18 hours earlier that day).

Tim and I made it to B.C. relatively unscathed, and we didn't even try to kill each other :)  I disembarked in Coquitlam, and waited for Surf to pick me up, and spent pretty much the entire week at the last coords I posted.  I went into town on Wednesday to get some last minute shopping done, and then a bunch of us went to a friend's place in Sunshine Valley for Saturday and Sunday, at:

N 49 16.671'  W 121 14.557'

Tuesday was probably the longest day out of all of them - although I think spending about 70 hours on a bus ride did help prepare me for sitting on the plane for 6 hours (Vancouver to Honolulu) then another 10.5 hours (Honolulu to Sydney) without taking really any breaks (at least the bus would stop every couple of hours).

And here I am now in Sydney, the flight was truly boring (they did play Prisoner of Azkaban at one point, but then Day After Tomorrow, which was also played on the bus).  After clearing customs, getting my visa stamp, and getting out of the airport without any problems whatsoever, I managed to find the commuter train downtown, and wandered for 10 or 15 minutes until I found a hotel to stay in for the night.  I'll probably spend the rest of the day looking for a proper hostel to stay in, try to meet some people, and of course, maybe some real internet access!

I'll update more as the week goes on.
